Welcome to My Next Chapter (And Maybe Yours Too)

Welcome to My Next Chapter (And Maybe Yours Too)
Journal writing and thinking!

Hey there, I’m Angie Clay.

If we’ve met before — through my candles, my art, or maybe just a passing hello at an event — you might know that I’ve spent years creating things that smell good, feel good, and brighten a space. But over time, I realized something: what I really wanted was to create experiences that help you feel good, from the inside out.

Lately, I’ve been spending a lot of time talking with women in midlife transitions. And I’ve noticed something:

We are tired.
We are burned out.
We’ve cared for everyone else, met every responsibility, and somewhere along the way… we put parts of ourselves on the shelf.

For some of us, it’s the artist who never picked up her paints again.
For others, it’s the traveler who never booked that trip.
For others still, it’s the woman who once dreamed of a bold, colorful wardrobe but swapped it for “practical.”

But here’s what I’m also seeing:
That quiet spark is still there. Even under the weight of caregiving, life shifts, and exhaustion, there’s this pull toward becoming again — toward picking up what we set down, and maybe discovering something new.

What This Space Is About:
This blog (and my new online home) will be a mix of:

  • Expressive arts: journaling, collage, creative prompts
  • Style and fashion psychology: dressing as a form of self-expression
  • Travel and exploration: from weekend getaways to big adventures
  • Life design in midlife: navigating burnout, caregiving, and new dreams

It’s for the women who feel both free and not free, who are craving possibility but still figuring out the logistics. It’s for the ones who want to say:
“This chapter is mine.”

So here we are, starting something new together.

If you’ve been feeling the nudge to pick up the pieces of yourself you set aside, to travel, to create, to dress for joy again — I hope you’ll stick around. We’ll talk about the real stuff, the beautiful stuff, and everything in between.

And if you’re ready, leave me a comment or send me a note:
What’s one thing you’ve been wanting to do again, or for the first time, now that you’re here in this season of life?

Here’s to becoming.
